In order to accommodate the species that call it home, each ecosystem is designed in a special way. There are about fourteen in total from coral reefs to algae to anemones, which give the visitors a real insight into what actually goes on beneath the waves.

8. The Penguin Habitat

There’s also a Humboldt Penguin habitat here, where you can watch penguins waddling along on land in a typical clumsy penguin fashion. They dart through the water with speed and grace. What? not all the aquarium tanks are home to just fish!

9. The Tropical Aquariums

Often the favorite of children, the tropical aquarium is an area where schools of multi-colored fish are seen swimming and mingling with the bright coral reefs. In total, there are seven tropical aquariums, including one that is dedicated just to the sharks that reside in the tropical climates.

10. Now let me brief you with some interesting facts

The Aquarium represents 450 species and is host to over 1100 animals.

The main tank holds 5 million liters of seawater and is home to the Aquarium’s famous bull sharks.

The multiple ecosystems here represent the tropical, Mediterranean, salt and sweet water, polar, and abysmal depths of the deep sea.
